About Us

The Philippine Theatre Actors Guild (TAG PH) is a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering professional theatre actors in the Philippines.

Mission and Vision:

Mission:

  • Equips its members to be self-sustaining, secure, and self-sufficient theatre professionals.
  • Effectively represents the rights and interests of its members in dealings with government, industry groups, and other entities.
  • Protects and promotes the rights and welfare of its members as professional theatre actors.

Vision:

  • To be the home of professional Philippine theatre actors.
  • To uphold and advance the standards of Philippine theatre by advocating for ethical and professional practices.
  • To build a strong and vibrant theatre community in the Philippines.

How We Help Creative Industries

  • Training and Development Workshops: TAG PH offers workshops and training sessions to help members hone their skills and knowledge in various aspects of theatre, such as acting, voice, and movement.
  • Advocacy and Representation: The organization advocates for the rights and welfare of its members by engaging in discussions with government bodies and industry stakeholders on issues like fair compensation, working conditions, and intellectual property rights.
  • Networking and Community Building: TAG PH facilitates networking opportunities and events, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among actors and other theatre professionals.
  • Mental Health and Wellness Support: Recognizing the challenges faced by actors, TAG PH offers support and resources related to mental health and well-being.
